Foundation Learning

You may have heard of our Entry 2 Employment programme but since the beginning of August we have launched a brand new training programme for 16 – 18 year olds in Lincoln, Boston and Gainsborough called Foundation Learning.

“Unlike colleges, we don’t have term times so you can start at any time of the year. We will pay your transport costs and you can also apply for EMA and, if you have childcare costs, Care to Learn.”

Foundation Learning offers you the chance to gain qualifications and work experience at the same time – giving you a head start towards an Apprenticeship, employment or a full time college course. Every learner gets their own Keyworker so you will get lots of support and encouragement along the way too!

You can choose from:

  •  Entry Level to Level 1 in Functional English, Maths and ICT

Improve your skills and your grades

  • Entry Level 3 to Level 1 in Employability and Personal Development

You can choose the units which suit you; they include CV writing, interview skills, teamwork, parenting, healthy living, career planning and many more!

  • Entry Level 3 to Level 1 in Start IT

Gain confidence and experience with IT

  • NVQ Level 1 in Business and Administration
  • NVQ Level 1 in Customer Service,
  • NVQ Level 1 in Catering and Hospitality
  • NVQ Level 1 in IT User Skills

NVQ’s are work based so you will do some on-the-job training at your work placement and some learning in centre. There are also opportunities to get involved in community projects and volunteering.

“There are no entry requirements so don’t worry if you didn’t get the grades you expected – all you need is commitment and dedication.”

If you are interested and would like to book a place on the course or for more information please contact your nearest ISIS Training centre and we will be happy to help!
