Business and Administration Level 1
Although this qualification does not have an Apprenticeship framework, it is something to consider if you are thinking about starting on our Foundation Learning programme.
The EDI level 1 Award or Certificate in Business and Administration is intended for you if your job role involves carrying out a range of routine administrative activities requiring a high level of supervision. You will be working as part of a team and will be providing support to your colleagues, customers or clients. This qualification covers a good range of administrative duties including:

using the telephone

dealing with post
-
using a filing system
-
using email and dealing with visitors.
Learning Methods
Throughout the course, you’ll follow a learning plan that sets targets and checks your progress. You’ll also have a Learning Advisor, who will guide you during your programme.
You will learn through: your undertaking activities at your place of work; directed private study as well as receiving guidance and support from one of our Learning Advisors.
Assessment Methods
You will be assessed by providing evidence that you can do your job to agreed standards. Methods of assessment can include observation, discussion, documentation, testimony and personal statement.

You could progress to the Business and Administration Apprenticeship which consists of:

EDI level 2 Certificate in Business and Administration

Functional Skills English level 2 or Key Skills Communication at level 2

Functional Skills Maths level 1 or Key Skills Application of Number at level 1

EDI level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business & Administration (Technical Certificate).
